    • Keith Anderson – GIS Mapping & Records Supervisor, AVANGRID

      Records and Mapping Supervisor at Connecticut Natural Gas, Keith has 23 years of experience in the GIS world, 12 of which has been in the Natural Gas Industry. Keith is responsible for supervising all aspects of the GIS system at CNG and assisting AVANGRID operating companies SCG and BGC with theirs. He also works with the AVANGRID PMO group in managing GIS projects, such as Track and Trace and integrating CNG’s scanned records in the GIS.

    • Tom Donovan – National Grid

      Tom has been with National Grid for 23 years. Working on both the electric and gas sides of the business, he has held roles in project management, customer service, dispatch, and Electric/Gas mapping. Since 2011 he has been with Gas Maps and Records serving as supervisor for Long Island and systems admin for the previous GIS environment utilized by Long Island and NYC regions. After a brief stint in R&D, he returned to M&R as manager for Gas Maps and Records for New York.

    • Tom Helmer – Executive Solution Architect for UDC and SAFe® 4 Certified Agilist (SA)

      Tom has extensive experience designing and integrating utility solutions around GIS and related technologies, including advanced metering infrastructure and smart grid solutions.

  • Preparing for ArcGIS Utility Network at Dominion Energy Virginia

    Dominion Energy Virginia and UDC discuss the preliminary Utility Network migration efforts that are helping the utility obtain critical information for long-term planning to support SCADA and ADMS for enhanced grid management. Their work included assessing how Dominion’s data will migrate to UN, putting the company in a better position to know what the transition will involve and, therefore, how to budget and plan for the complete implementation. In addition, they’ll discuss review and planning for integrations and 3rd party applications.

    • Jenny Burgess – Manager, GIS Services, Dominion Energy Virginia

      Jenny has worked in various roles in the Electric Distribution industry at Dominion Energy Virginia for 22 years. She has spent the last 2.5 years as the Manager of GIS Services.

      Will has served in various roles supporting GIS at Dominion Energy Virginia for the last 15 years. Starting as a GIS editor, Will’s role has evolved to supporting Electric Transmission and Distribution initiatives and overseeing projects around Utility Network planning, ArcGIS Portal, field mobility tools, and Imagery Management.

      Scott has over 35 years of GIS Industry experience. Senior Account Manager for UDC, he focuses on meeting the operational, financial, and quality objectives of his clients.

  • Blazing a New Trail for Leak Survey and Compliance – AVANGRID

    Building on its newly implemented ArcGIS Utility Network, AVANGRID has developed a Leak Survey solution using ArcGIS Field Maps, web applications, and ArcGIS Experience Builder dashboards. The solution enables the utility to apply breadcrumbs as inspections are performed or as field crews walk the line, in addition to report on and track leak activities.
