We’re excited to share that Dax Wolfinger has been appointed as UDC’s Utility Network (UN) Director of Operations. This newly developed role will help UDC further expand its UN Transformation services and solutions to serve our clients in emerging markets, both domestically and internationally.
In his previous roles as Project Manager and Solutions Engineer, Dax worked closely with UDC clients, leading teams to implement enterprise-level GIS solutions, develop business process workflows for new systems, recommend enterprise architectures, and evaluate migration readiness for the UN model.
He was an instrumental team member in helping Dominion Energy evaluate its readiness and determine the level of effort required to migrate its electrical distribution data to the UN model for the utility’s subsidiaries, Dominion Energy Virginia and Dominion Energy North Carolina. He additionally played a pivotal management role in the UN Transformation for AVANGRID operating companies, Southern Connecticut Gas and Berkshire Gas Company, who are now operating in production.
As UN Director of Operations, Dax will work closely with Practice Area Leader Jill Bricker to plan, implement, and communicate all operation activities in the UN Transformation practice area for our utility clients. He will oversee the project coordination effort between UDC and UDC India, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the needs of the organization.
“Dax Wolfinger joining the UN practice area will help UDC to extend our support in growing market arenas for UN projects. He brings decades of utility GIS experience from both the client and consulting backgrounds. Dax is already using his many talents as a former project manager, consultant, and solution engineer to support our ongoing and upcoming UN projects.”
Jill Bricker, VP UN Transformation Practice Area Leader, UDC
