Esri IMGIS 2022 Presentation
AVANGRID worked with UDC to define a GIS Utility and Pipeline Data Model (UPDM) template to standardize all gas network companies in the future. Through a two-track initiative, one focused on data conversion tasks and the other on application development, AVANGRID companies Southern Connecticut Gas and Berkshire Gas Company leveraged their existing infrastructure investment as well as investments in Esri and Schneider Electric software to create a complete distribution-level GIS with spatial locations for utility gas assets.
