UDC Signs Continued Agreement with PG&E

UDC has executed a contract with IBM for ongoing support of the PG&E Gas Distribution Pathfinder Project and the Gas Transmission projects Mariner. UDC has played a key role for over the past year in the deployment of the Gas Distribution Pathfinder Project which is aimed at providing better access to utility asset information and increased safety and operational effectiveness. UDC is providing Solution Architecture, Application Development, Integration, Testing and Data Conversion services for the project. The Project is anchored on ArcGIS Server and ArcFM and will integrate SAP asset information as well as other corporate systems and provide mobile functionality to integrated field systems. UDC is also a key partner with IBM on the PG&E Gas Transmission Project named Mariner. For the Mariner Project UDC is providing Solution Architecture, Project Management, Business Leads, Conversion leadership, Testing, and Training for the project. The project is aimed at enhancing PG&E’s Gas Transmission data and providing a basis for pipeline integrity. The project is based on the Integration of Esri GIS server technology and SAP as well as other corporate systems to provide information that moves to the field and back. UDC is also providing deployment services for IBM in connection the PG&E Electric Distribution Project.
