UDC will provide upgrades and maintenance to existing Esri Network Information Management System implementations and ArcGIS Utility Network users, ensuring timely and proper network management release updates and system interfaces are maintained.

UDC will provide system architecture services through a system-design engagement. System design involves gathering functional and non-functional requirements, reviewing current workflows and business processes, analyzing all tiers of an existing enterprise GIS, assessing organization policies and standards, determining availability needs, capacity planning, and defining a system with appropriate sizing and configuration to meet requirements effectively.

Esri’s ArcGIS Enterprise allows the sharing of apps, maps, scenes, and other geographic information. The Portal for ArcGIS provides a front-end user experience for accessing apps, dashboards, and data. It is supported by a host of ArcGIS Server environments and repositories to meet the environment’s needs. ArcGIS is customizable to your look and feel and can bring together all your geographic information and share it throughout the organization.

UDC’s experienced industry experts will evaluate your readiness to migrate to the utility network using a systematic approach. Our approach leverages the robust migration and automation tools that UDC developed to reduce the complexity of the Utility Network transition. UDC will provide detailed data mitigation reports, including an estimated level of effort for data mitigation. UDC will also provide a proof-of-concept environment for you and staff to first glimpse your data in the Utility Network. This will also allow you to review and train in ArcGIS Pro and Utility Network on your own data.

UDC will work closely with you through one migration iteration to ensure that the data model and data align with the Utility Network expectations. The team will establish an ongoing meeting series to validate the mapping between the source and target. After the second iteration, UDC will provide an asset package with subnetworks enabled, built, and delivered to the customer for deployment to the production environment. UDC will work with you to provide a cutover plan and support for your successful deployment to the production environment.

Service: Utility Network GIS Support

UDC will provide Utility Network GIS support as a Time and Materials (T&M) based service, with a predefined budget and schedule allocated for support resources. UDC support activities covered in this budget include, but are not limited to, enhancements to the implemented applications and training sessions. Each service request will initiate a new task order to define the scope and provide a budgetary estimate for your approval before services commence.

Data remediation is essential for the success of a Utility Network migration project. The UDC team will provide data remediation services to address data-quality issues/errors identified in the Utility Network data assessment. As in the Utility Network Assessment, UDC’s data remediation activities, including programmatic, scripted cleanup as a part of the migration, will take place in your database.
