UDC was selected to evaluate We Energies (WE) current GIS system Architecture, database performance, and ArcGIS performance. The key objective is to properly size the GIS Servers, PCs, and network in order to properly evaluate the database and ArcGIS performances. UDC will utilize the performance harness to do this evaluation on WE’s system, which has successfully proven positive results with other utility customers.
Additionally, UDC is aiding the GIS efforts in preparing data for the integration to CadOps. Evaluation by UDC of each and every feeder within WE’s system is being reviewed to ensure a proper integration to CadOps will happen.
