We have successfully enabled our client’s desired workflow to bulk load pipeline data, create a stationing series on the pipeline, bulk load devices and events on top of the stationing series, and run interactive QA/QC at job completion time. All of the tasks have been pulled together using Esri’s Workflow Manager and UDC’s customizations to support the automated workflow.
The innovative and unique editing environment was developed during the course of UDC’s 2-year project with Sempra Energy at SoCalGas. Esri Services provided the core UPDM and APR implementation, and Sempra engaged UDC to develop pipeline productivity tools and automated workflow solutions around the core implementation as part of the utility’s extensive Transmission Integrity Management Program (TIMP) – Gas HP Enhancement project.
The resultant UDC productivity tools are increasing efficiency for ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing users and significantly enhances the editor experience. The pioneering solution is configurable for new and existing UPDM/APR implementations.
