Objective: UN Data Assessment Program for Water and Electric
UDC is excited to announce our partnership with Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) in planning and preparations for migrating the utility’s current water and electric GIS to the Utility Network. Together, the team will take the first steps in RPU’s migration journey by analyzing and evaluating RPU’s Utility Network readiness for both commodities.
A division of the City of Rochester, RPU is the largest municipal utility in Minnesota. Through UDC’s UN Data Assessment Program, RPU aims to determine the full-scale migration effort for its utility and gain more insight into ArcGIS Pro and the Utility Network. The results of the assessment project will be leveraged to generate an actionable data improvement plan for bridging the gaps between RPU’s existing geometric network and the Utility Network model.
In addition, RPU will have the opportunity to view and interact with its current GIS data in ArcGIS Pro and the Utility Network. Coupled with the assessment outputs, hands-on experience with the new platform will help RPU gain perspective on how to successfully move forward with migration and production release planning.
