Objective: Work Order Maintenance
UDC is happy to announce its extended collaboration with Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Coop (SSVEC) on data maintenance. For the initiative, UDC is supporting the utility’s goal of maintaining an up-to-date GIS by completing work orders ready for mapping in AWS. Beginning this past October, the project will finish up in October of 2023.
SSVEC Goals
SSVEC has enlisted UDC for assistance with routine GIS work order posting in an effort to keep its GIS current and accurate. With UDC’s help, SSVEC aims to continuously improve its production data.
UDC’s Role
UDC is completing all project tasks in AWS, including populating information in SSVEC’s work management system, confirming service and equipment map locations in SSVEC’s asset registry system, and updating and posting stations to default in ArcMap. UDC is employing its in-house quality tools as well as ArcFM tools to run comprehensive QA/QC checks on the sessions prior to posting.
Additionally, UDC is assisting the utility with qualitative analysis on the production data.
