We are happy to announce that Matt Zimmerman and Frank Orr have joined our UDC team. Matt will lead our Digital Design & Construction service area, while Frank will support UDC clients and projects as Senior Account Manager.
Matt Zimmerman, VP Operations – Digital Design & Construction
Matt Zimmerman joins UDC as Vice President of Operations and Digital Design & Construction Service Area Leader. He brings with him a deep knowledge of Product Management and business process, with twenty years’ experience developing strategic business solutions. Leveraging his strong background in Design and Mobile applications, Matt will direct the development of his service area and advance UDC’s proficiencies and growth into the utility design and construction market.
Before joining UDC this past July, Matt directed Industrial Solutions at Otter Products where he was responsible for bringing new business to market. He additionally held several leadership positions at Schneider Electric which included leading the Geospatial Product Management team. In this role, Matt oversaw all aspects of new product development, established and managed best practices for Operations and Support, and helped launch Schneider Electric’s cloud and subscription strategy.

Frank Orr, Senior Account Manager
Joining UDC from Locana in August, Frank adds over twenty years of experience to the UDC Account Management team in areas of account management, program and project delivery, technology enablement, spatial solutions consulting, and business systems integration. Leaning on his industry experience, Frank will work closely with UDC’s gas and electric clients throughout all stages of the project lifecycle process.
Previously, Frank provided project and technical leadership at Locana, where he served as a senior project manager, principal consultant, and geospatial SME. There, he led efforts to develop integrated enterprise geospatial solutions along with strategic GIS programs, implementations, and integrations for DOTs, state and local governments, utilities, and the commercial sector. Frank also held leadership and technical positions at Woolpert and Critigen. Throughout his career, Frank has assisted numerous organizations on their journeys to enterprise level transformations.
