Esri IMGIS 2024 Presentation
In 2022, DTE began work towards migrating their current gas GIS schema to the ArcGIS Utility Network by developing a strategy that ensures they meet their unique business needs. During this effort, DTE identified the necessity of using a less conventional approach and migrating their distribution and transmission models individually; this involves migrating the different data models sequentially and to different databases. DTE shares the process and reasoning that led them to this strategy and how these considerations could benefit fellow utility companies in planning for their migration.
