UDC is pleased to announce our engagement with National Grid Rhode Island on an 8-month project to complete work order posting of 40 miles of gas distribution main and 20 miles of service pipe. The project will be completed using the ArcGIS Utility Network Management extension in ArcGIS Pro. Work employs the use of extensive dimensioning and includes precision placement of all pipe, fittings and dimensions. In some instances, the existing pipe network will need to be modified and updated to facilitate work order joins.
The project scope also requires a substantial amount of attribution be collected for the source work orders. Custom error checking and validation tools developed by UDC will help validate the attribution values being entered into the model. In addition, UDC will be required to rebuild the network to ensure that all feature connectivity is established and maintained in the new Utility Network model.
