We are pleased to welcome several team members to our organization that will help lead and manage our expanding staff, client base and growing list of gas and electric utility solution offerings at UDC.

Mitch Spichiger, Director System Integration

Mitch Spichiger, Director System Integration

Specializing in the management of custom application development and product implementation engagements, Mitch joins UDC from IBM with prior experience at Prudential and AIG.

Mitch has been tasked with leading our SI division. He will direct resource management and SI delivery to ensure quality standards, timeliness and customer satisfaction. He will also lead UDC’s SI mentorship program to promote teamwork, learning, and knowledge sharing to optimize individual and team performance, innovation, creativity and technical awareness.

He has more than 25 years of experience in information systems (6 years in the Utility Industry) and is adept at performing business analysis, system design, and implementation of object-oriented software applications.

Mitch has been PMI Certified Project Management Professional since 2006. He earned an MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University, NJ, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Villanova University.

Ed Anderson, Executive Consultant

Ed Anderson, Executive Consultant

Executive Consultant for UDC, Ed has over 45 years of extensive experience in natural gas utility leadership and management consulting.

Ed brings to UDC’s gas operations team a unique blend of understanding the business requirements of operating and managing a utility combined with technical and engineering understanding of the best practices needed to install, operate, and maintain a utility’s infrastructure.

His natural gas utility experience includes 31 years at Brooklyn Union Gas / KeySpan Energy Delivery (aka National Grid) in various engineering, operations, gas supply, marketing, and sales leadership positions.

During his 11 years with Black & Veatch he provided infrastructure and management consulting support and project management to gas utilities and investors in utilities and pipelines. Examples include numerous due diligence reviews of utilities and pipelines on behalf of potential investors, as well as performing Operations, Engineering and Management Risk Assessments for gas utilities. Today, he continues to provide advisory support to gas utilities and companies supporting the Gas Industry.

Ed holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from City College N.Y. and an MBA from Adelphi University.

Amar Shabbir, Director Consulting Services

Amar Shabbir, Director Consulting Services

Amar joins UDC as our Director of Consulting Services from Quantum Spatial, a LIDAR and Digital Orthoimagery services company. He will be responsible for driving our consulting strategies and relationships including strategic and business partnerships. Amar will oversee UDC accounts in the Pacific Northwest, Northern CA and Great Lakes regions. He will also assist internally with process improvement, consulting and development training. Amar draws experience from world-class consulting firms PwC and IBM with 25+ years of delivering projects, programs and business transformation. He has led numerous transformational initiatives for clients including Nike and Portland General Electric.

He holds a Bachelor Arts Business Computing from Huddersfield University, West Yorkshire.
