UDC is pleased to announce the appointment of Jose Salas as Director of Enterprise Architecture, further strengthening the company’s ongoing commitment to helping utilities design, implement, and manage secure, scalable GIS architectures across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
Jose brings more than 10 years of GIS experience, with expertise spanning GIS and cloud solution architecture, GIS analysis, management, and security. Before joining UDC, he built GIS and cloud solutions for electric and gas utilities and served as a Senior GIS Architect.
In this role, Jose will lead efforts to define enterprise architecture standards and develop infrastructure strategies that support UDC’s clients as they modernize their GIS environments. His work will span cloud and hybrid architectures, system scalability, security, performance, availability, and the integration of emerging technologies.
As utilities modernize their enterprise GIS environments and adopt emerging technologies, the underlying IT architecture plays an increasingly critical role in supporting performance, security, availability, and long-term scalability. In his new role, Jose will help UDC clients develop enterprise architectures that meet current operational requirements and support future technology initiatives.
Please join us in congratulating Jose on his new role! We’re excited to see his leadership continue to drive innovation for UDC and the utility industry.
