UDC Joins NRECA as an Associate Member

National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) logo

We are excited to announce that UDC has become an associate member of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) based on our past and ongoing work with electric cooperatives, including CORE Electric Cooperative of Colorado, Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO), and Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative of Arizona.

Founded in 1942, NRECA is a member-led service organization that represents the interests of over 900 electric cooperatives, public power districts, and public utility districts across the United States. NRECA supports these organizations through lobbying efforts in Washington, DC, overseeing employee benefits, conducting industry training and research, and managing public relations.

Each year, the organization hosts TechAdvantage – one of the industry’s largest national conferences for electric cooperatives. UDC will attend the upcoming conference, scheduled for March 9 through 12, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, NRECA publishes a monthly magazine and newsletters to share stories from peer cooperatives and keep its members informed about the latest industry developments.

As an associate member, UDC is excited to engage with the cooperatives and their members. We believe this membership brings significant value to our cooperative clients, and we look forward to actively participating on a platform where our clients are supported and engaged.
