UDC is pleased to announce two key milestones for our Digital Utility® gas operation solution clients, Unitil and The Energy Cooperative.
Unitil Company Overview:
- New England Based Utility
- 106,000 Electric Customers
- 83,600 Natural Gas Customers
Project Duration: 11/2020 – 04/2021
Objective: Automated Gas Outage Management and Outage Communications
Unitil is a public utility holding company whose operating utilities serve gas and electric customers in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. They are initiating configuration and implementation of automated gas outage management for their utility. The solution will provide enhanced capabilities to manage and restore outage events for their back office and for personnel using mobile devices in the field. The system being deployed is UDC’s Digital Utility® Gas OMS which is a GIS-based Esri Enterprise grade software application.
Unitil also has interest in enhancing outage communications both internally and externally with their customers through the development of outage dashboards compatible with their outage solution. Gas OMS has built-in dashboard capabilities, and in addition, together we will explore the incorporation of UDC’s DyAN digital twin dashboard to their solution to extend Unitil’s outage analysis and communication capabilities even further.
